Angel and her closest friends, Shamika, Vaughn, Damien, and Elise, each start their freshman year of high school with the same goal in mind: Survive. With desperate prayers and strong wills, they set their high school lives on uncharted paths that they struggle to navigate. They quickly find that maintaining the standards of their “new normal” by contradicting everything that they know to be right comes at a price that they are unwilling to pay.
